Local Government and Schools ESCOs

The Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5) and the Local Government Energy Conservation Act (50 ILCS 515) allow local schools districts and local government entities to enter into guaranteed energy services contracts for improvements to their facilities. These statutes require requests for proposals (RFP) to be published by the CDB and local media outlets. CDB does not approve such postings or have any additional information concerning these projects. Questions about these RFPs should be directed to the local school district or local government entity.
