Employment Open House at LaSalle Veterans' Home July 26th from 9am - 3pm

LASALLE - The Illinois Veterans' Home at LaSalle will be hosting an Employment Open House on Saturday, July 26 from 9am - 3pm.  The LaSalle Veterans' Home, located at 1015 O'Conor Avenue in LaSalle, provides domiciliary and nursing home care to more than 100 Illinois Veterans and is getting ready to open a new expansion that will allow even more Veterans to receive quality affordable long term care. 

 

"I am extremely enthusiastic about the upcoming opening of the expansion to the LaSalle Veterans' Home.  But we first need staff on board and in place so we can fill the beds in the expansion when they become available.  I want to urge all those in the area, to come out to the Employment Open House on July 26^th and learn about the great job opportunities we have at our Veterans' Home.  Come serve the very men and women who fought for this country," Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs (IDVA) Director Tammy Duckworth explained.

 

IDVA Central Office is accepting applications for the following positions: Nursing Management Staff, Nurses (RNs and LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants, Maintenance Positions, Activity Program Aides, Medical Records Staff, Physical Therapy Staff, Dietary Positions, Clerical Support, Housekeeping Staff, Social Service Staff, and Fiscal Staff.  Please bring a completed state employment application (CMS-100 form), and if applicable, all related licenses and certified proof of Veteran status to the Employment Open House.  To download the CMS-100 form, go to http://work.illinois.gov/download.htm.

The LaSalle Veterans' Home was opened in December of 1990 and is one of the state's four Veterans' Homes.  Located in a residential area on the northeast side of LaSalle, Illinois, the Home provides quality care to over 100 Illinois Veterans in intermediate and skilled nursing care.  These services are provided by a multi-disciplinary group of health care professionals as well as an array of supportive staff.
