Gov. Pritzker Announces 11 Appointments to Boards, Commissions, and Task Force

Doug Pryor will serve as a Member on the Enterprise Zone Board.* Pryor currently serves as the Vice President of Economic Development for the Will County Center for Economic Development where he has successfully delivered more than $4 billion of investment in development projects from diverse sectors including energy, manufacturing, health care and retail. Previously, he served as the County Administrator for Grundy County for two years, and prior to that, he served the Grundy Economic Development Council first as an Economic Research Analyst and then as Vice President. Since 2012, Pryor has taught courses in economics and statistics at Dominican University. Pryor received his Master of Business Administration from Dominican University and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois-Springfield. 
 
Stacey Young will serve as a Member on the Enterprise Zone Board.* Stacey Young currently serves as the Manager of Community Relations for Ameren Illinois where she leads the team of community relations executives, develops community outreach strategies, and serves as a Public Information Officer during emergency operations activities. Young is heavily involved in her local community, serving as the Director of the Richland Community Board, Commissioner for the Decatur Park Board, and is a proud Rotarian. She received her Master of Business Administration from Norwich University and her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Southern Illinois University.

 
FUTURE OF WORK TASK FORCE

Erica Bland-Durosinmi will serve as a member on the Future of Work Task Force. Bland-Durosinmi is currently the Executive Vice President of Service Employees International Union Healthcare for Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Kansas. Prior to her service as Executive Vice President, she served in leadership roles with SEIU, both as the Political Director and Vice President of SEIU Healthcare Illinois and Indiana. Bland-Durosinmi also has experience serving as a Political Coordinator for the City of Chicago and Cook County where she assisted in creating and drafting the ballot initiative to raise the minimum wage to fifteen dollars an hour. In 2020, Bland-Durosinmi received the Ida B. Wells Award from Illinois Democratic Women. This year, she has received the Billie Page Award from the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus Foundation and the Rev. Dr. Addie Wyatt Labor and Justice Award from Rainbow Push Coalition. Bland-Durosinmi received her Bachelor of Arts from Miami University.
 
Stephen Campbell will serve as a member on the Future of Work Task Force. Campbell is the Legislative and Political Director for the Local 881 UFCW in Des Plaines, a role in which he advocates on behalf of over 34,000 members in Illinois and Indiana at all levels of government. Previously, he served as a General Consultant for multiple campaigns in the Chicago metropolitan area, the Illinois State Director for the Elizabeth Warren for President campaign, and the Political Director for the Illinois Senate Democratic Victory Fund. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Roosevelt University. 
 
Michael Ciaccio will serve as a Member of the Future of Work Task Force. Ciaccio has served as the Director of Government Affairs for Teamsters Joint Council 25, for over ten years, working with local, county and state government. Throughout his tenure he was won dozens of campaign victories at all levels of government, defeated scores of bills and ordinances that threatened economic development and worked with a broad coalition of labor and business groups to pass a statewide capital construction program. During 2008 and 2012, he served as a State Coordinator for Teamsters for Obama. He previously worked on House Democratic Staff as a Research and Appropriations Analyst. Ciaccio received his Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University.
 
Julian Federle will serve as a Member of the Future of Work Task Force. Julian Federle serves as the Director of Government Affairs for United Airlines. Prior to his work in the private sector, Federle was a public servant for both the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois. He served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to Mayor Rahm Emanuel, specializing in early childhood, K-8 and post-secondary educational policy and operations. He also served the Illinois State Treasurer for three years as the Chief Policy and Program Officer, overseeing policy, public-facing investment and savings programs and oversaw legislative affairs, the Illinois Department of Employment Security and the Chicago Federation of Labor. Federle received his Bachelor's from Columbia University. 
 
Delmar Gillus Jr. will serve as a Member of the Future of Work Task Force. For over ten years, Gillus has served as the Chief Operations Officer of Elevate, an organization that strives to create a just world by ensuring equitable access to utilities in homes and communities. In this role he has led the design, development and implementation of Elevate's statewide workforce and contract development programs for solar energy efficiency. He has advocated for underserved communities and contractors in addition to regularly partnering with community leaders and educators on training and job creation to support a clean energy economy. Previously, he served as the Senior Manager of Strategic Support and Optimization for Health Care Service Corporation, Inc and RWD Technologies, Inc. Gillus received his Master of Business Administration with an emphasis on Information Technology and Marketing from Loyola University Chicago and his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland. 
 
Ai-jen Poo will serve as a Member of the Future of Work Task Force. Poo is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the National Domestic Workers Alliance, an organization which works to advance the equality, dignity, and legal protections for domestic care workers. Under her leadership, the National Domestic Workers Alliance has passed Domestic Worker Bills of Rights in 10 states and 2 cities and brought over 2,000,000 home care workers under minimum wage protections. She previously co-founded and served as the lead organizer of Domestic Workers United. Prior to this, she worked as the Special Projects Director of CAAAV Organizing Asian Communities. She has been recognized among Fortune's 50 World's Greatest Leaders and Time's 100 Most Influential People in the World, and she has been the recipient of countless awards, including a 2014 MacArthur "Genius" Award. Ai-jen has been a featured speaker at TEDWomen, Aspen Ideas Festival, Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, Skoll World Forum, and the Obama Foundation Inaugural Summit. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and honorary doctorates from Smith College, the New School, and the City University of New York.
 
Juan Salgado will serve as a Member of the Future of Work Task Force. Salgado oversees Chicago's community college system, serving nearly 70,000 students as the Chancellor of City College of Chicago. Under his leadership, City Colleges of Chicago has seen an increase in student graduation rates, a systems-level partnership with Chicago Public Schools, a debt forgiveness program and the completion of two new facilities, among other esteemed accomplishments. Previously, he served as the CEO of Instituto del Progresso Latino for over fifteen years, empowering residents on Chicago's Southwest Side through education, citizenship, and skill-building programs. Salgado's accomplishments have been nationally recognized as a 2015 MacArthur Fellow and as a board member on the Obama Foundation. Salgado received his associate degree from Moraine Valley Community College, Bachelor's Degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Arts in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. 

 
WORKERS' COMPENSATION COMMISSION

Carolyn Doherty will serve as a Commissioner on the Workers' Compensation Commission.* Carolyn Doherty has served as an Arbitrator on the Workers' Compensation Commission for ten years, presiding over workers' compensation claims, issuing written decisions following trials, and approving settlement contracts. Prior to her appointment as an Arbitrator, Doherty served as a Staff Attorney to the Commission where she analyzed issues raised by cases and advised on appropriate recommendations. Before her career in the public sector, Doherty practiced at several private firms where she amassed experience in insurance claims. Doherty received her Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School and her Bachelor of Arts from Marquette University.
