TUESDAY IS AGRICULTURE DAY AT THE ILLINOIS STATE FAIR

FIVE THINGS TO DO AUGUST 17th

Springfield, IL - Tuesday, August 17th is the day dedicated to celebrating the overriding purpose of the fair - Agriculture Day. Don't miss the Governor's Sale of Champions where grand champion junior livestock including the barrow, steer, wether, poultry trio and rabbit trio are auctioned off along with the best of Illinois processed foods at the Commodity Auction.

There are many exciting things to see and do at the Illinois State Fair, here are just a few highlights of the events for Tuesday:

• Meet the Farmer at 12:30 PM at the Ag Tent
• Cutest Little Framer Contest at 1:00 PM at the Ag Tent
• Ag Storytime at 2:30 PM at the Ag Tent
• Governor's Sale of Champions at 4:30 PM for Commodities and 5:00 PM for Livestock at the Coliseum
• Chris Young at 8:00 PM at the Grandstand
