Illinois EPA Announces the Successful Completion of Compliance Testing at Medline Industries, Inc.
WAUKEGAN —The Illinois EPA is announcing that Medline Industries, Inc. in Waukegan has successfully completed the required compliance testing pursuant to P.A. 101-22, also known as the Matt Haller Act, and an Illinois EPA construction permit. Following consultation between the Illinois EPA and the Illinois Attorney General's Office, and pursuant to the Matt Haller Act, the facility is authorized to resume full commercial sterilization operations.
Medline is required to maintain and operate its negative pressure system and continuous emissions monitoring system and to comply with the monthly and annual caps on ethylene oxide emissions as set forth in its Illinois EPA construction permit.
