Illinois' Share Of National Job Loss Slows; -3,200 For October
CHICAGO – The Illinois seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for October is 11.0 percent, up 0.5 percent from the previous month and its highest level since August 1983, according to figures released today by the Illinois Department of Employment Security. The three-month moving average is 10.5 percent, its highest level since November 1983.

Move will Bring 100 Jobs, Foster Growth in Northeast Illinois
DOWNERS GROVE – November 12, 2009. Governor Pat Quinn today announced that the Dover Corporation will be locating its corporate headquarters in Downers Grove. The move will result in the creation and retention of at least 100 jobs, and will help foster economic growth in Northeast Illinois.
