The Illinois Information Service (IIS) is committed to delivering accurate and timely communication for the State of Illinois Executive Branch and Agencies. Illinois Information Services include Video and Radio, Digital Photography, and Web Services as well as Satellite and Electronic News Distribution Services.

IIS has base operations in Chicago and Springfield, Illinois.

Video Production and Satellite Services
Video Production and Satellite Services produces news coverage, public service announcements (PSAs), and educational and informational programs (remote and studio) for constitutional officers, legislators, and state agencies, boards, and commissions. Satellite transmission services (audio and video) are also available to public and private entities.
 
Photography Services
IIS photographers provide digital photography and processing in Springfield and Chicago facilities, offering studio, portraiture, and on-location coverage.
 
Radio Production Services
Radio Services can assist in the production and creation of public service announcements (PSAs), providing audio production facilities, voice-over work, as well as VHS and compact disc duplication.
 
Editorial and Distribution Services
Editorial and Distribution Services provides a daily news clip service available by subscription to all branches of state government. The section also processes and distributes news releases to the news media and other special interest groups on behalf of state government agencies, boards, and commissions.
 
Official State Newspaper
For all State Agencies, Elected Officials, Boards and Commissions whose requirements are procured through CMS, the Arlington Heights Daily Herald has been selected the "Official State Newspaper" for the period July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2010.
 
Web Content Services
Web Content Services (WCS) will oversee and maintain ownership and jurisdiction over content on State of Illinois web sites under the Governor's direction. It will partner with and provide guidance to all entities in its jurisdiction to ensure high content value, ease of use, and accessibility.
