The Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities has some exciting news to share…the official launch of LifeMyWay.  LifeMyWay is a new statewide grassroots effort to celebrate the talents and lives of people with developmental disabilities! LifeMyWay shares stories, empowers people to advocate for their rights and encourages them to pursue their dreams. For Robby in Urbana, LifeMyWay is living by his own rules in his own apartment. For Jess, LifeMyWay is going to dance class and watching chick flicks. For Holly, a Canton mother of two, LifeMyWay is making sure her children have the same opportunities as any other child.

 

Every one of us has a stake in this important journey to elevate public understanding of the issues—and people—that are so near to our heart. We encourage you to take a minute or two and share your story.
